Last 4th of July...my 3rd one

Dsc04299 This is my third 4th of July celebration here in US. My first one was in UN New York City and of course the second one was here in Columbus last year.

Last night-July 3, Columbus Central Ohio celebrated the 4th of July with a beautiful display of fireworks in the downtown area. I went with Tim & Gwen with our good twin friends Evan & Kevin. It took us an hour to park...not bad for this kind of occasion. It seemed crazier than the superbowl last year. I was looking at my baby's reaction at the huge crowd of people around, the blimp floating in the sky, the lights and the sounds she's hearing...I just can't help but thank God at how responsive she is on everything around her. This is her first 4th of July and we're also worried that she'll get scared at the fireworks which took place at around 10pm.

Dsc04283 We found a great place to sit and relax while we wait for the fireworks. Last year, although Tim & I were able to see the parade, it's not as fun as last night since we're new in the city (we just moved in) and I'm pregnant! This time, not only we were joined by our good friends from Valparaiso, we have Gwen with us...she's just so charming that we even got a free gigantic cream puff from the family sitting beside us

This afternoon, our friends left to go back to Indiana and we got ready for another fireworks display which is just in our local community (downtown Hilliard-a suburb of Columbus). Again...we have to go through a very slow traffic as we tried to park by the middle school in front of the municipal park.

It's hard to believe how time flies really fast! 2 years ago...I never even care about this biggest event here in US. Now, it seemed like this will be part of our family tradition...going every year at "Red, White & Boom" (Columbus Fireworks display) or watch the one from our local community fireworks...or maybe someday watch the UN fireworks display in my favorite city...New York.
