God or Starbucks?

Recently, my mother-in-law mentioned this anti-God quotes from Starbucks coffee cup. I personally, was compelled by the message, but as a lot of people say...there is freedom of speech. I respect that...our freedom of speech, humanly speaking. But spiritually, this offended me. I don't know why, but there's something in my heart that hurts me. Call me touchy or too spriritual...I guess I am. I guess I am until now...until I read this quotes. Yes Starbucks has a disclaimer that any of the quotes in their cup does not reflect the views of the company. But still, they said OK for it to be distributed. Yes, I remember the pro-God quotes they had which is quoted from Rick Warren in 2005.
Why anti-God quotes? Why not anti-atheist? or any other religion? But why stop there? Still, for me, this is like attacking someone too personal...someone too close to me. It's like attacking someone from my family...except He is more than my family.

I always tell Tim I'm not Liberal nor Conservative...I'm just always in the middle. But on this...I will make a stand, for the first time. Read below...

You may have heard than Starbucks recently, coldly refused to send coffee to some Marines fighting in Iraq. Now the overrated coffee chain is putting Anti-Bible messages on its coffee cups. Following are two:

“Why in moments of crisis do we ask God for strength and help? As cognitive beings, why would we ask something that may well be a figment of our imaginations for guidance? Why not search inside ourselves for the power to overcome? After all, we are strong enough to cause most of the catastrophes we need to endure.”

“Heaven is totally overrated. It seems boring. Clouds, listening to people play the harp. It should be somewhere you can’t wait to go, like a luxury hotel. Maybe blue skies and soft music were enough to keep people in line in the 17th century, but Heaven has to step it up a bit. They’re basically getting by because they only have to be better than Hell.”

When contacted Starbucks said it had no intention of removing the offensive slogans. Do you think they’ll put any anti-Muslim slogans on their cups?

You cannot be loyal to God and loyal to Starbucks. Judas sold Christ out for 30 pieces of silver. I wonder how may spoiled, self-centered Christians will sell Him out for a cup of coffee?
