A New Job, A New Car

It's been a while since I last posted a blog here. Been busy with the baby most especially now that she turned 4 months old now. My husband got a new job and we're both thankful with this blessing. On his first day at work, the car acted up. He began to have a hard time steering the wheel. Thank God he arrived in the office safely...and not late.
Anyway, we found out the car problem is just the idler and belt and needs to be replaced. We thought it's the engine that's why we decided to get a new car. Well, not exactly brand-new, just a good used car. We drove all the way this weekend to Indiana to buy the car, thanks to my father-in-law for assisting us with all the hassle.
Last Tuesday, we visited our old car which is right now parked at our local auto shop and see what we could do. They say we can only sell that for $100 bucks if we don't have the idler and belt replaced. I couldn't believe that my husband agreed on it. But of course, I'm not. I always try to be resourceful and not waste anything, even the thing seemed or looked wasted. The car is not totally bad for me, we depended on that since we got married and it's been my husband's car since he was in college. This is the car who brought me to the hospital last year when I deliver my baby and the car who brought us home with the baby in tow.
Anyway, to make the long story short...I decided to just post the car in eBay. Good thing to do...now am waiting for the bidding to end with one active bidder and 13 people watching.
Today is my husband's last day of training and we hope to end this weekend with a high bidder to pay off our car rental expenses.
