One year ago, it was a little bit rainy during that night...special friends came in. Although not everyone was able to come due to the storm. Siouxsie helped me in preparing for the celebration. It was a fun night although tiring because i prepared all the food. Melody and Pizza got late because they were caught by a traffic and it was already raining hard. My officemates were there and all my close friends. But there was a guy missing...and that's my boyfriend...which is right now my ex-boyfriend. Anyway, now...it's been a year since that time and I never thought that I'll be celebrating my birthday in a foreign land...here in New York, away from the people I'm with one year ago.
Despite of that, God blessed me with a friend who happen to be the sister of my officemate and accountability partner in the office when I was in Manila. We met and did some shopping in Newport Mall...walk for a while...oh not a while 'coz we got exhausted walking. I got my hair cut also in a salon in Newport. I've been wanting to get a haircut here in New York but I can't find a nice but "cheap" salon. After New Jersey, I dragged her to Manhattan to see some sites in Central Park and show where I live. We dine in a nice restaurant in Madison and amazingly got a complimentary chocolate sorbet with candle on top. Now i was able to blow my own candle.
A year had passed and today it just reconfirmed to me my purpose of being here. Now, I'm already 26! I thank God for this another year and thankful for the past years He has given me. Last year was a bit tough especially in the matters of the heart, this year was even more tough, since its not just a matters of my heart, but my whole being. It's about my commitment to Him, to my family, and to other people that are close to my heart. But He's continually, faithfully guiding me no matter how tough the situation is...and that's what keeping me stronger.
