Thunderstorm

Just five minutes after getting out from the car, we can hear the thunderstorm sound right outside of our apartment.

It was a hot sunny day when we went to Meijer's, we loaded Gwen in her carseat and decided to stop by the house before meeting the Stumps for dinner. It's just 12 minutes away going to Grove City where we're supposed to meet. While we're driving going to the apartment, we can see the north sky as solid dark. We wonder how far that storm is, 'coz where we are is just a plain sunny day. After unloading Gwen from the car, we headed up and tried to get ready fast as we can to leave again.

In just 3 minutes, the sun was gone and the sky was so dark. It was pouring that the apartment buildings around the complex looks whitewashed because of the strong rain. Suddenly, the tornado siren was on. I was thinking already of backing out from our evening dinner with the Stumps...yet within a few minutes, we looked outside again and the rain has slowed down.

In the end, we decided to still go to Grove City.

And although the highway was rough, after passing Broad St. exit, it cleared out. We can still see the thunderstorm right above us. It's cool to see the sky divided in two...where the storm meets the clear blue sky.

Yes, we do have storm as well in our lives. They come without warning. The tornado siren came off when the storm is already on-going. It didn't warn us that it's heading our place. But it just passed, like the storms in our lives...it will also just pass.
